Middle Buying

We work as a Middle Buyer for Colleges and Universities and Talent Buyer to Non Profit foundations, individuals, festivals and corporations here in the US and abroad to expertly provide their entertainment needs. We help our clients/partners to hire top tier performers, speakers, comedian, celebrities and production needs at the best possible rates, with exceptional transparency, character and communication.

For your private or public events, let us be your partner to negotiate the waters of entertainment hiring to speed along the process and secure affordable results!

As an agency, we work with a lot of campuses, so we're tuned in to your needs and values. We work with just a handful of schools at any one time so that we can give everyone a personal touch, provide exceptional communication and give the time and focus necessary to go after your first choice(s), working to get them within budget, and playing whatever role you need us to. That means we can do everything, or we can share any/all responsibilities with your students/staff. We can let students in on our methodology and approach so they learn how the process works while learning valuable strategies that can be used in any field of business. We can similarly cover all the contract negotiation and advance work, or participate side by side or in the background as backup to yourself/staff/students/departments.

We're easy to work with and we enjoy the teamwork that goes with middle buying.

Our most recent bookings for private, public and campus events have included OneRepublic, Sammy Adams, Flo Rida, Elle King, Kesha, MKTO, Ingrid Michaelson, Gungor, Caro Emerald, The Tallest Man on Earth, DJ Cassidy, Pia Toscano, Jack Pack, The Company Men and an original Cirque creation plus various other local and regional variety performers: jazz bands, up and coming rock/pop artists, variety and dance acts, popular club DJ's and more.

What we bring to the table:
• 40+ years’ combined experience as agents, managers, buyers, campus programmers and promoters gives us the ability to work well with anyone.
• Lower fee quotes from booking agents for major talent.
• You can reach us by phone or email anytime to game-plan, ask questions, and get answers.
• We handle the negotiating or work together with your students, staff or legal/accounting departments.
• We can negotiate the hospitality and tech riders.
• We supply lists of entertainers to consider and/or work with your own wish list.
• We work with agents and managers to inspire/educate them and their clients on your needs and expectations.

"Adam and the crew at Westwater Entertainment are some of the best I have worked with. I have a small number of people I trust, and it isn't often that new people break into that circle. Adam and his staff, however, are different than the rest. They know the industry well, but there is so much more about them that I appreciate. They are kind, trusting, and very low-pressure. They are not salespeople. I love that they are willing to get to know my institution and work to serve our student body in a way that you can't if you're just sending mass e-mails and trying to meet quotas. I have significant trust in Adam. It's like finding a good mechanic. You want someone who is going to do more than just sell you things. I've found my good "booking-mechanic", and I plan to stick with him for the long-haul." - Chris Bohle, Associate Director of Student Life, Hope College (Holland, MI)

"Working with Adam Sloat from Westwater Entertainment is always such a positive experience. My programming board does only one or two major musical events a year, so our learning curve is always high. Adam is so friendly, supportive, and available to answer any question we might have through the entire process. This year, students selected Sammy Adams to come to campus for our Welcome Weekend. The first email I sent was to Adam at Westwater to help make the connection to Sammy’s agent. As always, when working with Adam the pieces just fell into place! We were able to get an amazing artist at a price we could afford. Adam worked with me through the offer process, contract negotiations, sound and light requirements, backline, and hospitality needs for the artist right up to show date to ensure an awesome concert! The process could not have been any easier in securing such a talented artist. Our students loved the show, and I loved how seamlessly the show was put together. I will continue to reach out to Adam as we plan future musical events. He makes the process so stress-free!"

"As many student activities professionals know, the concert planning process can be very unpredictable at times. Most recently, our institution ran into a number of unexpected roadblocks as we tried to secure an artist for our annual spring concert. Luckily, we had Adam in our corner to help guide us over the bumps. Thanks to his patience and encouraging spirit, we continued our search for an artist that the university community would enjoy and eventually found an amazing talent to headline our spring concert at the last minute. We were so lucky to have such an incredible talent share her music with our university and none of this would have been possible without Adam. His experience and industry knowledge was invaluable and it is clear that he genuinely cares about the success of his clients. You couldn’t ask for a better person to have in your corner advocating for you and your students."
